I had an excellent experience at AFC Urgent Care. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional. I was seen quickly, and PA Parks was exceptional throughout my visit. She took the time to listen to all of my concerns, answered my questions thoroughly, and made sure I fully understood my diagnosis and treatment options. Her calm and caring demeanor put me at ease, and I felt confident in the care I received. Tiffany, the PCT, was very excellent with drawing blood—quick, gentle, and made the process comfortable for me. The entire experience was smooth, and I felt well taken care of. The facility was clean, and everyone ensured I understood every step of my care. I highly recommend AFC Urgent Care for anyone in need of prompt, high-quality medical attention. A big thank you to PA Parks and Tiffany for their exceptional care!

I was attended to by Lena . She was so sweet and professional. Thank you Lena .The Doctor too , I don’t remember her name. Bless her heart. I wish everyone would be like her in the workplace. You can tell she has the best bedside manners. The ambiance of the facility is amazing. I just had an all round great experience.

My son and i, both sick had a very pleasant visit today. Front staff were friendly and helpful. Lena took our vitals and asked question of our symptoms. She was professional and very pleasant to speak to . She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Even gave us cold water bottles during our visit.I was also pleasantly surprised to be scene by Dr Brown, a doctor i saw many times years back with my son when in High school. I too had the pleasure to be treated by him. He is professional and thorough. Thank you all for your amazing service today! Keep up with your ways! It’s very much appreciated especially when you are not feeling well.

My son was seen by Dr. Curry. He was wonderful! He was kind, tborough and a true professional. My son was very comfortable with him. We definitely would return there the next time anyone in my family is sick. Lena was amazing! She was sweet, caring, and went above and beyond to make my son feel comfortable. I have gone to many medi- centers but this one should be paradigm for all of them!

Dr.Curry was very knowledgable and professional. He eased our concerns and explained what I need to do with my leg injury. (I had a sports injury at the beach and could not use my left leg) He gave me an anti-inflammatory prescription. Today is day 3 after my visit and I’m starting to get around the house, with a limp for now. We would definitely visit this urgent care in the future if needed. We also had a very short wait before we got to see the doctor.Excellent!!!

The staff is very friendly but overall, Id rather receive medical care. I went in with a fever that lasted over 24 hours. The doctor comes in, taps on my sinuses and says the fever is suspicious but theres no way of testing if its viral or bacterial. Not a single test, not a sample. Sure, fast service but there was virtually no service at all. His guess was as good as mine. Im not a doctor but i would have at least ran a couple tests and maybe looked down a throat or in the ears. Was the easiest money a clinic ever made.

I have been having my D.O.T Physical done here for years. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are also efficient. I am in and out in no time with my paper work completed. I want to specifically give my highest praise to staff member Lena. Lena has been there since the first physical i had done many years ago. Whether you are a regular like myself or if it is your first time, Lena will take great care of you. She makes you feel like you are visiting a friend instead of a doctors office. Knowledgeable, Professional and always with a smile. Lena is definitely 5 stars.

The receptionist staff was very professional and helpful. I just made it for the cutoff of the last appointment at 7:30 PM. My doctor, Martha, was fantastic. She was professional, kind, attentive, made me feel comfortable, listened to my questions and knew exactly what to do. Appreciate everyone at AFC Urgent Care South Plainfield. I have never been so offended in my life. I guess because I’m black they would assume and treat me for scabies. Out of all rashes. Scabies!!! I never said I was homeless. I wouldn’t recommend this place. They seem inexperienced and bias!!!!!

Came early on a Saturday with hardly any wait. The staff and doctor were professional and very nice. I found the check-in process via the kiosk easy, and then you compete everything on your phone. The prescriptions were sent electronically to my pharmacist. I would recommend this location.

The service was awesome! It was fast and easy. Everyone was super friendly and respectful. Lena took great care of me and made sure I was good. You should definitely come here!

Went to urgent care because i thought i had bug bites so told the doctor he took 10 seconds and looked at it and gave me a prescription cream to put it on. The marks started spreading now i have to go see another doctor. He didnt take his time and gave me his opinion as what could be wrong. I was done in less than a min.

I went in for a sports physical for my child. The PA who saw her did an x-ray and said that my child’s bone was chipped and fractured. She said because of this, she couldn’t clear my child for sports. My information was passed on to a practice located elsewhere so that my child can see an orthopedic specialist. I decided to take my child to a specialist of my choice instead. That specialist told me that there is nothing wrong with my child’s finger. Either the PA at Urgent Care has no idea what she’s doing or she just wanted to refer me to a practice where she has friends/ acquaintances so that they can just bill my insurance for no reason. I say this because without even scheduling my child to see the specialist, the guy there kept insisting that I schedule appts for occupational therapy. I am very disappointed with the urgent care and most likely won’t go back.

New staff in this location is rude and does not care about patients. Last time when we visited, they refused to see until all the paperwork is done. By the time they were ready to see us, patient was already feeling better. I do not recommend this facility for any real urgent care. Staff was more focussed upon collecting the Co Pay, rather than focusing on immediate need of the patient. In spite of showing that I have insurance, then did not so anything to address the patient.

Front Desk ladies and my MA were polite and accommodating. The X-Ray Tech (so sorry I forgot her name) and PA, Evan were especially impressive. I was fully diagnosed and on my way in less than an hour from start to finish! Close to home, clean and efficient. 🎯

Came in really defeated about my medical situation, but talking to one of the nurses her name was Lena, really gave my comfort and a lot of insight on what my next step where gonna be . She actually cared about what was going on with me, VERY rare to find. As well as the doctor. Couldnt be more thankful to this location will be coming back here when I can .

At first I thought this place was pretty good as the staff was polite and well mannered. The PA, Rose, was very professional and addressed my concerns, however what happened after overshadowed any compliments I originally had. I went there on a Thursday morning at 8:20 am, about 2-3 ppl were in the waiting room. Apparently this location has issues receiving/responding to faxes and emails. I had to be at work at 10am which is about 20 minutes from this location and I ended up being late to a job that I just started. My workers comp company said they faxed the info for me to be seen on Wednesday morning, but this place said they never received it (its now Thursday morning), delaying me from seeing the doctor/Physicians assistant promptly. I had to call the workers comp company and have them re-send it. The WC company even confirmed they sent it to the proper fax number so this time I had her email it. I didnt go into the back until after 9am and wasnt sen by the PA until about 9:20. I told the front desk I had to be out of there by 9:30am to get to work. By 9:40am I was still waiting to finish treatment so I had to leave before they could finish, forcing me to have to drive back there after work (another 40 minute drive with my back /neck hurting) to complete my treatment. I also sent this place 2 emails, but I never got a response. The PA gave me 2 prescriptions. Walgreens could only fill 1 because workers comp didnt pay for the other one. Walgreens told me they would call this urgent care and that they faxed over the approved medications. The urgent care said they never got this fax either and again I confirmed the number was correct. Its now Sunday and I still do not have my medication when my injury happened last Saturday. This urgent care sent over 2 medications to Walgreens that are not approved by Workers Comp. I spoke to Bianca today and she was supposed to call me back in 30 minutes but I never heard from her. I then called her back and she asked me to have Walgreens resend the list of medications (why do they not have this?). Then I called again at 4:40 after Walgreens said they were going to fax it again because the front desk claims they didnt get that fax either and nobody at this urgent care picks up the phones despite the fact that they close at 5pm. I also left a message, but nobody called me back. Im not feeling well and Walgreens tells me to call the urgent care, urgent care tells me to call Walgreens. Why dont these doctors have a list of what medications are approved? Its a sh*t show at the patients expense.

I wish i could give six stars. Lena in particular was outstanding. She treated me with a seamless blend of compassion and professionalism that has been unmatched by any previous visit to the urgent cares in the area.I should also mention she is a truly gifted phlebotomist. Lena is truly a wizard with a needle, and if you are afraid of blood work, she is the exact person you want drawing your blood!

The check in process was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and took care of the needs fast. The prescription was sent and ready as soon as I left which was amazing. Keep up the good work everyone.

I have taken my son to this center last sat morning since he is running with fever more than 7 days. Doctor just came in check-in with stethoscope and said very thing is normal. My self I hear noise when my son cough hence asked doctor to take x-ray to find out if any can be noticed and doctor said not needed. Very disappointed with answer. what is benefit coming to urgent care. They have charged $100 dollars as co-pay without any test or treatment just for visit as primary doctor. same day evening I have to take my son to ER JFK and they taken x-ray and found bacteria in lungs. same should done in urgent care for better treatment. Very very disappointment with their response.

This urgent care is so accommodating. I had the pleasure of being treated by Lena. She was very professional and considering and gentle. She goes above and beyond in every way possible. If you are considering going to this urgent care please go and make sure you ask for lena!

Lena, is the eye or the image of the Center. She went above and beyond the call of duty to satisfy her patients. We generously appreciate her for her amiable nature, professionalism and candor. Dr Odekunle assigned her to us and we aren’t disappointed.

Staff was amazing and very accommodating, went in for what I thought was swimmers ear to where I could not hear out of that ear but it turned out to be a build up of wax that was solved in a matter of minutes. Tiffany and Martha were both great in assisting me thank you both very much!

Both Kevin and Doc Curry made my experience quick and easy. Great attitudes like theirs create a relaxing environment for a walk-inEdit: they overcharged the copay and never refunded. Had to call, hopefully it gets resolved. Make sure to check your insurance EoB if you go here.

I’ve come here several times when I’m sick and I will always choose this urgent care. The doctors and staff are thorough and kind. The facility is very clean as well. Dr. Odekunle is who I saw today and he has such great bedside manner. I feel very comfortable coming here! Highly recommend.

Service very ok. It is supposed to be urgent care but had to wait for 2hours to see the doctor. There were patients seriously ill and waiting for the doctor for hours. It is not an urgent care please dont go there if you dont have a whole day to wait.

Provider was helpful. However, they lost my blood samples and they never made it to Labcorp (they blamed labcorp). It then took me over an hour on the phone (including them faxing me lab results from a completely different doctor a month before) to get them to admit the issue and agree to give me a new script for the labs. The next day, I called to ascertain that the order would be waiting for me. I was assured it was so I left work early, losing pay, so I could get to the lab with the new script before they closed. I got to the clinic and the staff acted like they had never heard of me. They denied that I had called 2 hours before, and I had to (politely) pitch a fit in order to get the forms I had been promised- and only needed because of their mistake. I have a serious illness that requires labs while symptoms are active, and the lost labs have harmed my care, while the absurd amount of effort it took to get them to fix the mistake caused lost work hours. Im very unhappy.

Staffs are friendly and doctor is professional. Checking processes is easy and the waiting time is short

It was such a blessing to be treated by Leena & Sofía! I’m really scared of needles but they really helped calm my nerves and made it quick & easy!

I came to get my ears cleaned as I had lost hearing in my right ear. Both PCT Tiffany and PA Parker were professional and thorough and fixed my problem. Would come again!

5/18, 2024 update: Been there a few times with friends from all over the world who has NO US insurance, this place is really not that bad, I believe my wife and I were just unlucky to meet the distateful, bad faith and cheap dark trokolate so-called doctor, you management should really take out these garbage in time.Husband and wife have no PCP and got covid, we both feel extremely tired and painful on every mussel, headache, burning throat, feeling cold and hot every 20 minutes, searching for help there to feel better so that we can stay up for the kids, got only PROMETHAZINE from this unit, which didnt help, but it made me more sleepy, meaning that we had to drive dangerously when picking up kids.Luckily a friend gave us some Advil, which released most of the pain.When you see someone drives very slow to school, he/she probably got covid and got useless PROMETHAZINE from this bad faith unit.All statements above are facts and backed by evidence and surveillance videos.I dont care what certificates you got, it cant change what happened, and it only makes it worse because it doesnt take a doctor to know Advil works way better than PROMETHAZINE, what do you know is the reason why we go useless medicine?What board certified him? I want the board to know this too!you can bribe Google to hide only on Google map, Im posting it everywhere.

This place have the best staff! Bianca, Lena, and Kevin were very accommodating when I entered this urgent care not feeling well. It was nice to be in a friendly environment.

Doctor and staff is amazing. Doctor was able to flush out a huge build up wax from my daughter ears. Now remind you I went to Riverside Urgent care in watchung nj 2 times about the same situation and I was told nothing is wrong with my baby ears and remind you when I look inside her ears with my flashlight from my phone I can see that big black thing but it’s in go deep for me to even take the risk of trying to take it out. Finally this doctor took a look at it and used WATER to flush it out and it came out. Also this thing in her ears was also causing bad headaches. Doctor was very patient and gentle.

I keep on getting calls for collections for AFC urgent care stating that I owe money for visits I never had with them, trying to get me to pay copays when everyone knows that you go to provider if there is a copay it must be paid upon arrival…I haven’t been to this facility in over 5 years but yet they are trying to get money from me from 2022 to present..next step filing a complaint with BBB and some other places as well

The staff was great. It was busy but they helped whoever needed help. The PA was very professional and pleasant. As she took the time to listen to me and then prescribed Treatment. I highly recommend this location. I have been there a few times and never had an issue.

I came for a Dot exam Lena was helpful from start to finish explaining everything to me. I am very please with my visit her bedside manner and will b3 back. Excellent job Lena

AFC check in should not require returning patients with no changes in insurance to complete a full registration as a new patient would for each visit. You should update your logic for the system as it creates a poor customer experience. The people and doctors were actually great. I hope this matter is resolved in the near future.

The staff and Dr. were very friendly and serviced with a smile. I was thoroughly impressed that if you had a long wait because of a few other patients ahead of you, they will send you a text message to notify you when its your time to see the Dr.You can leave and come back if you didnt want to wait in the waiting room.The facility was clean and they had TVs in the patient rooms for you to watch while waiting to be seen by the Dr.I give them 10 stars and will recommend them to family and friends!🤕❤😊

If I could give them a 0 star I would!! I went here twice... not feeling well at all... and all they did is ask any kind of questions to make up any excuse to not see me knowing that I was a non insured patient... I dont recommend this to anyone.

I have never had a bad experience here. The staff is always nice, the nurses caring and the doctors top notch. Dr. Evan Curry is an absolute sweetheart with one of the best bedside manners I have ever seen.

Very bad experience with the doctor. He is not listening to our concerns. We came to check for my injury on my foot. I stepped on a Lego block but there is no puncher or visible wounds. But the doctor suggested antibiotics by misinterpreting us. He was not able to understand that Lego is a toy brick and he thought it might a wound due to a nail puncture. I was trying to explain and he got offended and said I dont know anything you go to a orthopedic. Front office staffs are nice and very cooperative with us and understood our concern. If you are going to this location. Good luck with the doctor.

I came here recently for a physical and a blood draw for my job I had the absolute pleasure of meeting lena the clinical Supervisor/medical assistantWhen I tell you she was such an angel she took my blood with such ease Im definitely afraid of needles she spoke to me like I was a sister or a long lost friend making me feel so comfortable I will definitely come here from now on if I am feeling sick as well thank you so much

I wasn’t feeling good and my doctor instructed me to go get a Covid test so I went to urgent care and got it done. The professionalism there is absolutely outstanding they are so kind so caring so understanding this one particular assistant, her name was Lena and Dr. Browne We’re both amazing, caring, and professional. I want to thank the staff for helping me out and I feel totally better than I did when I walked in. And by the way, it was only the flu

I did my immigration medical exam here. Lena is very friendly and accommodating. I usually get anxious for medical visits but she made my visit comfortable. She answers all my questions and really helps you all through out the process. It was a very smooth process.

I came in with an emergency, shortness of breath. The doctor on duty delayed his lunch to see me. In short order they were able to diagnose me and order the medications i needed. I am so grateful for their help. Had I gone to the ER I would have waited hours in intake before being seen.

This Place is always open and available for any health requirements. Starting from smallest cough cold or anything like Covid Testing. Fever, pain or small surgery. The staff and doctors are very patient and they take time to explain everything.During my this visit Dr. Odekunle and Nurse Lena were so kind and took care of the problem in just two visits. They guided me with the proper care and prescribed medication. While for same reason other facilities were not able to even give the appointment. Best thing is walk in any time and they’re open from 8:00 am to 8:00 PM. Highly recommend.

He answer all my questions and was really helpful, and always with a smile and ready to help. NOW THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!This is the place to go when you are sick or need to do your medical examinations for your job. I highly recommend these place. We went to AFC Urgent Care because my child wasn’t feeling well. Dr. Curry came in and “changed the game”! He was kind, personal, clear, took the time to explain all the details of his examination. I felt very comfortable talking to him and most of all he seemed to genuinely care about my child and our understanding of everything! I asked him if he was going to be around for a while…he said “yes”. I hope so because “What a breath of fresh air!!” VERY NICE to meet you Dr. Curry!!

I been feeling under the weather so I came here just to get a few tests done. Kevin was very patient as I was really indecisive about which ones I wanted to do. Friendly service over all, one of the girls even complimented me as she was walking by. I got swabbed, got my results, doctor came in and checked my lungs, and even got a note. All in 30 mins. Its a five star for me.

Very rude. I wasnt familiar with registration on their computer in the front of the receptionist. I had to keep asking for help. The male receptionist came out from behind his post and said If you break this are you going to pay for this ? My husband and I picked up our things and left. Ive never been spoken to as a naughty child before. Ihave heard others complain about this facility Now I know why. It was also empty,no one was there. He could have helped me. But he chose not to. I would never go back there. I felt so humiliated.

I had a great experience at AFC urgent care. Wesley was great and so professional and friendly. Then I saw Chynnah and she was beyond sweet, professional and calming. I had never been to an urgent care where I received such great care. I have been recommending AFC to my friends and family. Pros:kind back of house staffshort wait in lobbyCons:Diagnosed with non contagious viral bronchitis based solely on how my chest soundsSent me to a different pharmacy than my meds were sent toDidnt answer several calls or respond to messages trying to check which pharmacy I needed to go toHad to go back to AFC to find the correct pharmacy (nobody was in the lobby but none of my calls were returned)Forgot to send the perscription for my inhaler until 7:50pm despite calling about it at 3pm and 7pm and had to go to a third pharmacyPrescribed a cough suppressant without discussing it with me when all advice Ive seen elsewhere says you shouldnt take one if you have bronchitisAll in all, I paid to have my vitals taken, throat looked at, and the front of my chest listened to. After a 20 to 30 minute visit, including wait time, I had to bounce from pharmacy to pharmacy for about 4 hours, during which I called 8 times, of which 3 were answered.

The weekend staff were extremely helpful being it was my first time there. Had lots of patience and professionalism and the doctor listened and gave me all the attention I need and did not make you feel you were on a time schedule. Kudos to all and I’m starting to feeling better.

Chynnah the triage nurse was probably one of the most enjoyable medical professionals I have come across in recent years. Her demeanor was so pleasant and reassuring that I almost forgot that I wasn’t feeling well.At the front desk Amanda was very helpful and efficient as well.I could see that they both really enjoyed their jobs and really made the patients I saw in the waiting room feel comfortable. They were also very patient and polite.Wonderful experience today.

This is my new goto when I cant make the doctors office. Its always a great experience when I have to visit this office. Short wait time, friendly staff and efficient care!!! Definitely recommend this South Plainfield location.

Even though it was a long wait, seemingly so as it is a Saturday, Dr Odekunle is the best!! Very friendly and thorough with his consultation. My son had a sore throat and fever, he was caring, gentle and he said my son was well mannered 👍. Will definitely be coming back here!

All staff and doctors are extremely nice. They make your experience super stress free and you’re in and out fairly quickly. The best urgent care I’ve ever been too.

This is the worst place to visit if you are sick. Better go to emergency or find a different place. Dont waste your time and money. All they can prescribe is basic medications that you probably already have.

I have not been feeling well. The first place I called to see if they took my insurance put it on me to figure my insurance out. Then I called AFC in SP and they were lovely. The girl at the desk was great. My intake nurse Kevin tried to keep me comfortable while I waited to be seen by the doctor. I hope I don’t get sick again but I know where I’d go!

Lena and Dr. Rosa were very nice and attentive to my child’s needs and answered all of our questions definitely will return again

Office staff were very polite, attentive, and approachable. Dr. Dolekunle’s diagnosis of my symptoms was accurate and spot on. He showed a high level of concern about my condition and preceded to prescribe medication that would aid in combating my illness.

Lena was very helpful and very caring. She was very informative and was very gentle administering, test and swap. Dr Odekunle was very professional And diligent I felt safe and the staff was very polite. Overall, my visit was good.

The staff was great...Luz was excellent which she showed empathy with what I was dealing with which made my visit much more easier to deal with ...being that I was in pain from this Sciatica.Very pleased with my visit.

The lady at the desk who greets the patients was very kind. The nurse Chynna is AWESOME!! She is genuinely caring and makes you feel sooo relaxed. Her sense of humor is witty. Shes a gem. We need more like her. The doctor is excellent and very caring. I would definitely recommend this urgent care

Recently came her for urgent care and had a great experience. Dr. Browne, Chynnah, Kevin, as well as the front desk staff were efficient, professional, and made me comfortable during the procedure. My experience at American family care was an amazing, the wait wasn’t long at all, I was in and out and the technician Luz was amazing prepping me before I seen the doctor Dr. Odekunnle. I definitely will come back if I need a quick visit or to be seen for any reason.

I visited the urgent care today and had a very good experience from all the staff there. The front desk staff were very helpful with the sign in process and so pleasant. I was seen by Chynnah who is one of the nurses. She was very caring and asked me pointed questions about the reason for my appointment which resulted in some extra testing. She was very easy to talk to, and good at her profession. I really feel that Chynnah is in the right field to care for people. Based on my experience today I would give this practice a five star rating. I am so beyond pleased with my experience.

The entire staff was great. From the medical assistants, front desk and providers. My father felt safe with the staff and wishes you all the best!

Staff was very welcoming and made sure all my needs and concerns were met. Ms. Chynnah took very good care of me, answered all my questions, and made sure I was in and out. Dr. Browne attended to me with care. I always choose to go to this Urgent care!

I had a great experience! I was rushing and I was worried I wouldnt be able to get out in time before work however, I did thanks to Lena Sylvester. She was quick and sufficient with my visit. Excellent, efficient, well run urgent care with exceptional team. Front desk employees were professional, courteous and helpful. The med techs were highly knowledgeable,compassionate and effective. Doctor was prompt, professional and effective. After 3 weeks of ineffective treatment from a different urgent care I felt hopelessly bound to my illness. AFC urgent care provided much better treatment for my acute sinus infection, I felt relief and felt better on day 2 and continue improvement. I will always travel to AFC urgent care. Effective treatment prevails over easy location.

Dr Odekunle was extremely professional and treated me right away. Dr Odekunle and the staff were courteous during my visit with me and the other patients I saw them interact with.

This is the worst Urgent Care in history. I come to check in at 11AM for a Covid-19 test and Strep Test. I did not get seen until 340PM, when they told me it was an hour wait time. Good thing what I needed wasnt urgent urgent. My COVID results came in, no one called to tell me if I had or did not have Covid, I had to call them. They also input my personal information incorrectly, and they never sent out my Strep test to the lab, they started me on antibiotics however do not know if I actually have strep throat. When I called them to ask my results they said my test came back positive for covid.Sloppy work gives sloppy results. Avoid this urgent care.

My father had an fall and I took him to urgent care on 4/10/2023 7:50pm. Dr Brown, Lena, Chyenna and Kevin did an excellent job of taking care of my father right away. They were getting ready to leave when we went there but they did not turn us back, they stayed past closing time and took care of my father. They made us feel comfortable and provided the best service.We again went back for a follow-up 2 days later. Lena, Cheynna were so happy to see my father and welcomed him. Physician Assistant, Evan Curry attended to my father and made him feel at home. Thank you so much!!

I had an injury that needed immediate attention. I arrived at AFC shortly before it was scheduled to close for the evening. I was seen immediately and received excellent care from Tiffany and Dr. Browne. Thank you for your help.

The doctors are great and the staff are friendly. Ive had to use this place about four times mostly due to carelessness. Dont hesitate to visit here if you have an urgent medical condition.

As a healthcare worker and nursing student- do not ever come here if you want professionalism and competent care. I sat in the waiting room with a pounding headache and earache listening to the front desk assistants and staff scream at a loud volume, talk about their personal lives and go on their phones for over a half hour while I was the ONLY patient in the waiting room. I have it all recorded on my phone but unfortunately I can’t upload videos here. I finally got reluctantly brought back into a room, the assistant didn’t even introduce herself to me, put the blood pressure cuff on too tight and in the wrong location of my arm. I didn’t even bother correcting her at that point. I just wanted this experience to be over. I sat in the room for an additional half hour waiting for the doctor again listening to the staff from the waiting area with how loud they were. I finally got so aggravated I walked out and saw there was still no other patients, so I questioned why the doctor hadn’t come to see me. The assistants response was “oh the doctor didn’t see his page” Now I was back there for a half hour, so no-one checked on me or thought it was odd I hadn’t been released? When the doctor came in he was with me for no less than 3 minutes. Diagnosed me with an ear infection and start of a sinus infection as I knew and I was on my way. I told the staff up front I was in nursing school and I needed a note for school that day and remained extremely nice to them, but I just cannot believe this is how your business of healthcare is run. South Plainfield is a wonderful community and deserves quality healthcare with professionals who care about the people who walk in the door. Do better, and hire people who care about their job. The lack of professionalism is absolutely appalling.

Signed in and was assessed by a very capable and kind technician (youre the best Ms.China!). Dr. Brown gave me the test results & sent prescription info off to my pharmacy & was congenial and helpful, as always. Go to AFC Urgent Care for efficient & compassionate treatment!

Received prompt professional service. Initial encounter with front desk was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable and helpful. Other staff was commendable as well. The Doctor provided excellent care and examined me. I was advised to follow up with myPrimary Physician which I did.

**Beware!!!** Went to this place after hurting my arm and used my debit card for my co pay and now over a month later charged me 145.00 after I have called once already. They told me that my insurance said that I am responsible but it has been over a month and they still havent even submittted it to my usurance. They couldnt even find me in the system and had to repeatedly tell them which location I went to. These people either really dont know what they are doing or they are crooks... Will leave follow-up after I call for the second time to find out why I was charged and why I was told to disregard the notice and why they went ahead and charged me anyway after still not submitting claim to my insurance and will see if my money is returned......*Follow up!.will try to make this brief. Three more calls have been made and have been lied to three more times. Each time I was told the money would be returened and still nothing! Even after being on conference call with my insurance and confirming that finally the claim has been submitted the day of my second call and the third person I spoke with said money will be returned since the claim is in process...which they still had no right taking, still three days later and nothing! After this posting I received a call from the office manager who called me at the end of business day amd my initial posting. I returned a call and left a message still no return call. Her message was about my post and not the money they had no right to take. Please heed this review and if you choose to go to this facility just know you can face the same issue! I am next going to call back my insurance company to demand the payment for this service be sent to me. Im sure they will care then. Going to call for the 5th time today

1st the black assistant very rude in every aspect. I was accused of sleeping while l waited to be seen. I had my eyes closed but not asleep. The young man put me in room #2 where I waited for more than half hour before I came into the hall way. No one would give the rude attendant name. Its the second time Ive been there and she boast coming in on her day off. She told me that I was quarreling with her about who came 1st. She raised her voice in front of other patients. Not good. Does she own the place? Never again will I go there or suggest the place to anyone else.

Whats normally a wonderful place when Ive needed to visit for myself or for my kids, was about as absolutely miserable of an experience as could possibly be. The amount of abrasiveness and sarcasm from a doctor, completely took me by surprise when I took my 71 year old mother in because of a wound on her toe. From the minute he walked into the room, he rudely treated her, very roughly ripped off the bandage she already had on her toe, and sarcastically asked her what shes doing there. He also asked me to get off my phone and pay attention, while I was trying to find a list of medicines she is allergic to that I have saved in a doc on my phone, as I am her caregiver as her health has gotten worse as shes gotten older in age. This guy clearly thought she was a pain pill chaser, as he kept asking if she was there for pain meds, when she said no and that she was trying to get help to rid herself of an infection on her toe, he became even more agitated. When I called him out on it, he took the bandages that he had ripped off her toe, made a fist with them in his hand, slammed down on the desk, and stormed out of the room. The ladies at the front desk were wonderful and so was the nurse who first helped us when got in the office. I understand it was close to closing time, and from the looks of it, maybe he was hungry, but he must have better bedside manner than that. Im completely disappointed with this visit. Also, a friendly tip to you Dr. Y, its called bleach, use it on your disgustingly stained lab coat. Go home, have a hot supper and get a good night sleep. We all have bad days, and it was without a shadow of a doubt one of your worst. What goes around comes around so Ill just wish you kind regards and hope to never see you again. If I could give zero stars I would.

I had an excellent experience at afc urgent care. I went there for a pre employment physical and drug screening. I only waited five minutes before my name was called. The customer service that Lena provided me was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and efficient to help make the appointment run as smoothly as possible. She was very friendly and patient which I appreciated.

Nurse Lena was great as was the doctor and front office.

Excellent Doctor attendees. Listen to what my symptoms and concern s healthwise . Was in and out fairly quick.

We had a very pleasant experience at this facility with Dr. Brown on our first visit and with Dr. O on our follow up visit. They both took care of the situation and my husband is feeling much better now. The staffs are really nice and a very special thanks to Lena for her support and care.

My mom had knee pain. I took her on time and the stuff did x ray immediately. Thank God No fracture. They are really fast with their services.

Very organized and efficient. I can to get a covid test and the process was clear and fast. Everything was done through the phone which allowed me to stay in my car and get notifications away from possibly sick patients.

Very caring and professional staff. My wife, Patricia and I visited for COVID-19 Diagnosis. Testing showed we both have the virus. Everyone there were very supportive.

Although during the initial contact the staff seemed somewhat distracted, the intake was easy. Didn’t take long to be escorted to a room. However, actually seeing a doctor took a while. I asked to X-ray issues with both hands but he chose to only X-ray one.

Good facility. Luz and Lena along with dr brown were great , patient and thorough. Very impressed with overall service, front office though could do a better job with communication and responsiveness

Wow. Just wow. This place is terrible no one seems to know what they’re doing. When I got called into a room the room wasn’t cleaned and was already used so when I mentioned that the staff said “ok give me a minute” took forever to be cleaned. They didn’t take my blood pressure or temperature. When the doctor came in he asked me my symptoms which I told him. He told me I had a sinus infection and my response was ok so that’s what I have? He then responded with “ there is no real way of knowing.” (Mind blown). I then asked him to check my ears because I got a shooting pain in my ear and he told me “it doesn’t look to bad.” Not happy at all and will not be going back!

I really like this Urgent Care. I did a walk in and was seen within 15-20mins and there were 3 people in front of me. They are very efficient and quick with their service. I felt heard and was given a diagnosis in a timely manner.Dr. O. Is a great doctor! Thank you AFC!

This center with Dr Odekunle has been the best. Always listening to patients and showing care . Speak so calmly and assuring. I had a wonderful experience coming into this building. Such an amazing staff, nurses and front desks I thank you. I felt comfortable and taken care of until the doctor stepped into my room. I personally just caught a small cold and mucus and thought I needed some antibiotics didn’t think twice about it. I wish I would of seen the doctors name but I did not, and no she did not even introduce her self. She came into the room so rude and blunt. Acting like it was a problem that I even came into her facility, giving me attitude and just simply not caring about my health. I have never ever my whole life felt some type of way about being sick and seeing a doctor. The doctor was rolling her eyes and telling me she wants to give me advice as if she is my mother and to see another doctor to help me. I had a simple cold and mucus in my chest. She prescribed me medicine/antibiotics. It didn’t make things better but made things even worse. Within 2 days with the prescribed medication she gave me, I felt like I couldn’t breathe and it was barely helping me. Seeing a second opinion and feeling worse after a week is not something to look forward to. I just am so disappointed in this doctor. I can not believe how rude she was. Never ever going here again. 4.5 stars facility but a doctor who doesn’t seem to care about her patients. Who tells someone to go see a different doctor to help a patient. Never again that’s all. Paid 125 copay to hear go see another doctor. What a disgrace that’s all.

Came for employment drug screening at 6PM. Was told by front desk to come before 5:30PM. I came at 4:58 PM the very next day, was told by front desk( different person ) to come before 5PM. They don’t allow appointments which is fine but should at least mention the availability on their website.Edit: went again. Check in was smooth. It wasn’t crowded. Staff was friendly.

Had a wonderful visit today. I dealt with Biancia and Chynnah during my time there. They were both very professional and personable. Definitely put a smile on my face despite me not feeling well. If I’m ever not feeling well I’ll definitely be visiting this location again

The staff at AFC was awesome! I went there for a CDL physical. It was from a coworker recommendation for providing excellent service which was accomplished. Dr Jacksonand Chynnah were professional and caring. AFC Urgent Care is a good place to handle any medical issues or needs.

During travel, I sprained my right ankle, and seeked medical attention at AFC doctors express urgent care. I am a physician myself and evaluate places critically.The front desk greeted me with cheer, very pleasant and helpful. The physician examined my ankle thoroughly, promptly ordered x-rays, & ruled out any fracture, he was very professional, pleasant, competent and provided absolutely A-1 service. I would highly recommend AFC Doctors Express urgent care center . Thank you!

I took my son there. I like the receptionist he was helpful considering this was my first time there. The doctor assistant not sure how to call him by proper title he was fabulous. He made me laugh and was a great joy. But why do I give three stars… the doctor crystal was so rude. She was so uncomfortable to be around and she had a smart comment to say that was unnecessary. She also didn’t take time to check my son. His throat was hurting and she looked so quick that I don’t think my son opened his mouth before she said oh there isn’t anything. Yet…. The assistant when he was swabbing him was like… ohhh he a bit sore. I’m not a doctor and I knew he was sore and red. He had been coughing like crazy. Why was she rude.. I guess she thought he was old enough to explain his symptoms himself…maybe so but like I said he had a bad sore throat and your opinion how I raise my children doesn’t matter to me. Then she wants to throw a smart comment. So you want him to talk with a sore throat (that’s smart) especially when he is a minor. Like I said staff was soooo great but doctor not so much.

Dr Odekunle and Lena the Nurse are awesome took care of me as their own. Swelling in thump finger, Dr. O numb both side of my thump squeezed liquid and prescribed antibiotic. They both very courteous, gentle and friendly.

Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience at this location.I needed a physical for work. Online and on glass door it clearly states what time they are open on a Sunday 8am -5pm. I got there at 20 to 8am. I watched to see anyone pulling up notices a care driving as though they knew they were late and opened the door at 8:15am. I was told the physical will be out of pocket $99. After I filled the paperwork was told it will be $120 I asked why since she stated it was $99 the receptionist stated that was wrong. After the receptionist did her part with weighing and doing my TB test was told the doctor was not in the building yet .. the time was 8:52am. 9:05am I poked my head out of the room and said hello since no one was visible. I finally saw the doctor who stated I won’t be waiting all day. I stated I was there for a physical for work.. he proceeded to look at my cane and stated, how can I do my job if I’m using a cane? I stated I have arthritis in my knees asked me questions then about anxiety.. with more and more the doctor was then trying to question my mental state as well as my physical state. I was completely appalled at this doctor’s ability to handle patients with some understanding. I eventually told the doctor that if his staff and himself came in the office on time I would not be as upset. No apology, nothing but getting me aggravated. Never again.* the doctor was Dr. Yorio.

Everyone one was lovely. My visit was for my baby girl who was sick. So let’s call this Crew the PM crew. The Male in the front was very professional and even when my phone didn’t work signing in electronically; I was given a sheet to fill out my information and he entered all my information in computer. I have been going here for my CDL Medical Certification every 2 years. All three Medical Assistants treated my daughter as if she were their own Children. Yup this is my place and highly recommend to anyone looking for great patient care without the hassle or the long ER waiting process and possibly getting sick due to the amount of people in their at timesThanks to all of you. Curry and Tiffany were great when I came to the urgent care

This center used to be a crowded one , not anymore . Direct walk-in , with no wait times. The doctor did not have patience to examine me , he simply brushed off in a minute by looking into my ear drums for an second.Did not check my mouth. Prescribed antibiotic. He came of very strong , when I interrupted with questions , when he was about to leave , asking me to consult an ENT for any further evaluation. Was very rude , I bet he would have been less than 2 minutes in the patient room. Have never come across an doctor like him 👎

This is absurd.** Updated on 7/5/2023Someone from AFCs billing team called me to explain that they were significantly behind, which is why I didnt receive notice for 3 years. They refunded the fee and I have updated my review to reflect.***Apparently I came to this location in 2020... It is now 2023 and I received a phone call stating I owed them money? The caller claimed that they have been calling me; however, I have not changed my phone number in 15 years. There was never a phone call. No voicemail. No email. No letter. Now I have the pleasure of going through receipts from 2020 to confirm that I paid.

Went on my lunch break, In and out service. Chyna help with the throat sculpture and vitals. Was very kind to my son. If your looking for quick service I’d recommend them 100 percent

I came to this urgent care for the first time with my 5 & 7 year old. We were well taken care by Dr. Odekunle & Luz. Thank you both so much & Happy Holiday! 😊

The staff was great from the front desk to nurse. But the doctor we saw was not competent. Took my son as he complained of stomach pain. The doctor saw him for few seconds and diagnosed as appendicitis. He was asking questions to my child who was watching tv and took things he said to confirm. I had to first ask him to turn off the tv. I asked him if it could be constipation since my child was having trouble going to the restroom. The doctor however was very confident. So I rushed with him to the ER. The doctor at the ER took one look and said he doesnt show any symptoms of appendicitis but since we were sent there, she had to order tests. Finally after 4-5 hours at the ER with a small child, it turned out to be constipation as I had suspected. Two doctors at the ER told me there were about 5 patients from the same afc with same diagnosis. Extremely incompetent doctor at such an established place. Really bad.

Dr Odekunle, was very nice, humble, took his time to explain everything to me and he’s very knowledgeable, giving more insights and options. This made me feel better and I will recommend Dr Odekunle and AFC to anyone. The AFC staff have excellent customer service skills, polite and the facility is very clean and neat. Staff and nurse friendly. Doctor Avery Brown not! I refused strep test, and had to do so twice. My throat while sore was not sore all over nor did I have any sores. He didn’t even check for swollen lymph nodes. I asked why strep test when there were no indications of strep causing the sore throat. I asked if there were sores to indicate strep and was told no and when I refused the test because it wasn’t strep, he snapped back “Okay, what is it then?” I responded that I’m not a doctor, but it’s not strep. I know what strep feels like. I was then given the cold shoulder and told “it could be something viral, rest and fluids.” I asked if there would be a prescription for zithromycin and was told “no.” Waste of time and money. I could’ve told myself this. I’d rate 1 star if it was just for the doctor.Update: went and seen another Dr and dr agreed not strep and is treating me for an infection. I will NEVER return here due to the lack of proper medical treatment.

The attention and kindness that was given to me the day I brought my 15 month son to thus Urgent Care was beyond and above. Its the way a health care system in the USA should be. Im forever thankful for what Dr. Lumo did for my son and I. It will never be forgotten. Im soooo very happy I choice this Urgent Care over the other one I was considering and it was all because of the earlier time of this one opening at 8am versus 10am. Again in so grateful and thankful!

The front desk staff and medical assistants were super helpful, especially Chynnah and Leana. They brought my son in and he was seen by a physician right away. He ordered an XRay and it was done there. I would definitely recommend this facility.

This is the worst Urgent Care I’ve ever been to! I advise everyone to stay away from here. The place was not busy at all, but I still had to wait 2 hrs in the exam room before being seen by a doctor. I kept seeing patients coming in after me, and leaving well before me. I kept asking the nurses, if they had forgotten that I was in the room, and that it had been way too long. They had no answer. I waited 2 hrs in the exam room, while patients were coming and going. Horrible service!

Lena, Wes, & Bianca help me out with an issue on DOT certification. They saved me a couple of dollars, friendly, & professional. The times I’ve been there, I’ve gotten fast customers service and care. They are becoming my regular physicians.

This place is fantastic! From the receptionist to the nurses they are amazing. Dr. Odekunle was very kind and knowledgeable. The whole staff worked with me to find a solution to a problem I was having. I will definitely be back! Thanks everyone!

Very professional from start to finish. Lena was one of the most genuine & caring person I have encountered in any Urgent Care I have been to. I would highly recommend going to this place. Fast & efficient care.

After dealing with the inconvenient, electronic kiosk, then the access via my phone to the rest of the very cumbersome register process, I met with a bored, disdainful Dr who seemed thoroughly unimpressed with me being there for my sinus, drip chest congestion, which I get yearly and which causes an infection for which I typically need antibiotic. The doctor instead said let’s give this more like a week instead of just two days and if you’re still having trouble, then we can order antibiotic. Ineffective treatment.

I have always come to this urgent care as the staff are always pleasant, efficient and get the job done nice and fast. The place is clean and organized. The check in and out process is super easy. Cannot complain. Get test results overnight. Super quick and fast.

Best place to go!! Dr.Brown was very fast and friendly and knowledgeable!! My go to place. He helped both my kids in there time of need of sickness or injury!! The staff is very friendly!

I gave them 5 stars because there were so many people out there. I was there by 5:35am on Thursday 12/30 and was about the 7th person in line. By the time they opened at 8am the line was around the back of the building. Half of their staff was out sick and they were still patient with a lot of not so patient people. The process seemed to be the only way to do it when short staffed and keep in mind that people were still coming in for other illnesses. Some people were being so rude to the receptionist who was trying to do so many things at one time. It really got bad and a big argument broke out in the Urgent care center. People were just being mean and never taking into consideration that they were just making everyone ‘s experience worst. In spite of all the yelling the staff remained calm and treated us kindly. I actually felt sorry for the staff. Yes it was a long process and a long day but we all made it through that day. I thank the staff because their patience and professionalism was certainly tested that day and they remained professional.

My visit to renew my CDL medical card was fast and easy ; thanks to their front desk staff my apologies I forgot y’all name but a special thank you to LENA for making sure my paperwork was all filled out correctly

I hurt my left finger pretty bad with a chainsaw, blood is everywhere.  I rush to the Urgent Care office in South Plainfield.  William carefully clean my hand and exam the damage, he is very kind and professional.  thumbs up. Dr Odekunle performed the surgery and fixed my cut. The total time in and out office take me less than 40 minutes. Very good services very professional treatment.

Visited Friday 4/11/2022 around 730pm. Throughout my time spent there I could overhear the conversation between the on duty Doctor and the other staff there about how its close to 8pm and the Dr. NEEDS to get out of there ASAP.Height and Weight were not measured, the nurse just asked me for those details. No one checked / took my Blood Pressure.The nurse took the sample for my tests and suggested I leave without seeing the Dr. as he will come and say the same thing as she told me (Will have to wait for the results to come in to decide the course of action). The Dr. was in a hurry to leave I guess, it was Friday night I get it. When I insisted that I want to see the Doctor, he came to the room after 15 mins. No questions asked about what brings me in or how am I doing. Said...Will have to wait for the results to come in to decide the course of action.No one reached out from the Dr.’s office after one of my tests came out Positive. No follow up. I was told I will be contacted after the results are in.Overall very SAD, Unpleasant exp. PLEASE GO TO SOME OTHER URGENT CARE IN THE AREA. These guys really dont CARE.

I came in on Friday Dec 2 with stomach pains relating to taking a medication. Dr. Browne was very thorough with his exam to make sure that it wasn’t anything more serious. Lena did a wonderful job with taking my blood work that was ordered. She took her time to make sure that she got it on the first try.

I had a great experience at South Plainfield today! Dr Curry and Chynnah was very informative and helpful. I will definitely be returning and referring others to this urgent care office!

I am normally terrified when I have to go to urgent care instead of my doctor. I get so much anxiety from hospital like places. However today I was less anxious and very calm thanks to Kevin, Lena and Dr. ODEKUNLE

Absolutely rude staff. the only nice person was the front desk lady. The doctor kept looking at me judging me and when he was checking my sinuses and listening to my breathing, it felt like he was man handling me. Normally when i see a doctor too, they tell me what they’re doing so i felt comfortable. I was wearing glasses when getting checked out and the doctor just straight up said to me “take off your glasses”. I was waiting to see a doctor for 1 hour and 15 minutes just for my check up to be 5 minutes long. The doctor didn’t even introduce themselves to me and did not even say goodbye. Where are the manners??

The absolute bare minimum. Now I do understand I came before about 25 minutes before close but I called in advance that I was rushing from work. The front desk has no little to no regard for patient satisfaction. Once in the room the tech was kind. The doctor spent all of 30 seconds. Didnt lay a finger on me. I ended up getting the treatment I wanted but simply because I requested it from the beginning. As someone who works in healthcare Ill be sure to never return there or send any friends or family there.

I have never laughed as much going to a doctors office as I have here. My wife and I were having a great time, and the service from Dr. Browne, Chynna, Bianca, and Kevin was stellar. 5 stars all around.

I have never been dissatisfied with care that I have received at afc South Plainfield. Today I had a concern and Tiffanie, Amanda , and Dr. Ofekunle took care of my issue. They treated me professionally and with care. The young woman at the desk was so sweet and helpful. My script was ordered and should be hearing from pharmacy soon as they did not open until 10. To be able to get medical attention on a holiday is a god send! Thank you everyone.

If you need to be seen within minutes, this place is not for you. There wasn’t a huge line as other people have described, I waited about 30 minutes to be seen.I came in with flu symptoms with my son, the woman at the front desk was extremely efficient and she was very kind to everyone she spoke to even though she was handling several customers back to back. The other woman (I so wish I had gotten her name) who tested us for the flu was so unbelievably kind and gentle… compared to other urgent cares I’ve been to, this was by far the best when it came to customer service. I also like that they see both adults and children. Definitely coming back in the future.

Hello, last Saturday I had to go to the Urgent care facility to take an X-Ray on my ankle after the fall. Right from I entered I felt that staff was not friendly at all. The first person who saw me was very nice and courteous. Then the young lady who took my X-Ray had no training about how to talk to a patient. The doctor who saw after the X-Ray told me there is NO fracture. I kept walking on that foot on Sunday thinking it is just a sprained ankle. On Monday I thought let me call them for my results. That time they told me that I have a fractured ankle. I asked why no one informed me and she said yes someone should have. What kind of responsible medical facility is this? I am extremely mad and upset with this irresponsible behavior.I do agree that the fracture is hairline and easy to miss but once they see the report, its their duty to call when a follow up treatment is needed.

I chose this facility because the week prior to my visit, a friend used their services and kept saying how the entire visit was so professionally handled. My only concern was that it took a long time for me to be seen. But I understand that depends on the amount of people in the facility and the reason for their visits. My situation may not have been as urgent as others. So if needed, I would use their services again.

Lena always provides the best customer service when I need to go the AFC Urgent Care in South Plainfield. She’s knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and professional. She assures patients that they will be taken care of and resolves their concerns. Lena is special, and AFC Urgent Care is lucky to have her on their team. Thank you for all that you do Lena!

I went to urgent care for my shoulder pain and thumb pain.Doctors and staff are Amazing.Dr.Evan explained everything to me in a very clear manner.Nurses are very friendly and Kind. The suggestions that I received from the doctor is excellent. I highly recommend this Urgent care to my family and friends.
